Att döda judar en nationell plikt

Fatah officials: Killing “settlers” is legal (PMW)

Killing of young Israeli couple
in front of their children was “national duty”

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik

“The settlers’ presence is illegal, and therefore every measure taken against them is legitimate and legal,” according to Fatah Central Committee Member Jamal Muhaisen. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 7, 2015] This attitude which has often been expressed by PA and Fatah officials, explains the great support being expressed by Palestinian officials for the recent murders of Israeli civilians.
Another Palestinian official, PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail, said that the killing of Naama and Eitam Henkin in their car in front of their four children was not merely legal but was fulfilling Palestinian “national duty.” [Official PA TV, Oct. 6, 2015]

As Israel continues to experience daily terror all over the country, including four stabbings yesterday and three more today, the Palestinian Authority and Fatah continue to express support for what they are quick to call a “popular uprising”. While telling the world that it does not want an intifada and that it is against terror, the PA is telling its people to continue its attacks on Israelis calling it a "popular uprising":

Jamal Muhaisen: “It is important that the popular uprising increases.”
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 7, 2015]
The following are the statements by Fatah Central Committee Member Jamal Muhaisen and PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail legitimizing the murder of Israeli civilians.

Fatah Central Committee Member Jamal Muhaisen
“Fatah Central Committee Member Jamal Muhaisen stated that the Palestinian people has proven that its life and blood have little value [compared] to support for the Al-Aqsa Mosque and achieving freedom and independence... Muhaisen stressed that it is important that the popular uprising (i.e., recent individual terror attacks) increases, in order to deal with the occupation’s crimes and the settlers. He clarified that the settlers’ presence is illegal, and therefore every measure taken against them is legitimate and legal.”
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 7, 2015]
PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail
Official PA TV host:  “Are they [killers of the Henkin couple] from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) or from Hamas?"
PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail: “There is no need to return to the argument and dispute about who carried out the operation... There is no need to announce it and boast of having done it. One fulfills his national duty voluntarily, as best as one can.”

The Henkin murders - Israelis Naama and Eitam Henkin (also an American citizen) were murdered in a shooting attack on Oct. 1, 2015, on the road between Itamar and Elon Moreh near Nablus. Their four children, aged 9, 7, 4, and 4 months, who were in the car and witnessed the murders, were not physically injured.
Although the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades of Fatah originally took credit, five Hamas terrorists were arrested by Israel and confessed to the murders.
