Palestiniernas ledare Mahmoud Abbas har åter en gång försäkrat att han inte under några omständigheter kommer att upphöra med att betala lön till palestinier som utfört terrorattacker mot Israel. Inte ens fast det skulle betyda att han måste lämna presidentposten säger han.
"'Even if I will have to leave my position, I will not compromise on the salary (rawatib) of a Martyr (Shahid) or a prisoner, as I am the president of the entire Palestinian people, including the prisoners, the Martyrs, the injured, the expelled, and the uprooted.'

Ett torg och ett monument i Jenin som uppkallats efter terroristen Khaled Nazzal har väckt en hel del uppmärksamhet de senaste veckorna.
Efter att Israels premiärminister Netanyahu skarpt protesterat såg borgmästaren i Jenin till att monumentet togs ner. Efter två dagar ändrade han sig emellertid och satte upp monumentet igen och i fredags gick israeliska armén in i Jenin och tog ner monumentet.
Nu försäkrar Abbas Fatah parti att det är deras skyldighet att resa monumentet på nytt oberoende av hur många gånger Israels river ner det.
"It does not matter how many times the occupation removes the monument in memory of the Martyr - it is our obligation to rebuild it."

Fatah further announced that - as an act of solidarity with Jenin - a monument in honor of terrorist Nazzal has been placed by "young people" in Ramallah (See photo above). Fatah stressed that terrorist Nazzal "remains in our hearts, in our memory, in our squares, and in our streets":

Skulle det kanske vara dags att omvärlden småningom började acceptera fakta och behandla Fatah och dess ledare som de terrorister de är?
